Newsletter [25 Sep @ 10:00pm]

Newsletter 1 25 September 2009 www.clubwebsite.co.uk/klmcolts94 Training Coaching A big thank you to Steven and Charlie for giving up their free time to come along to training every Monday and Friday. Attendance The boys have shown that they are committed to the club by turning up for training. If you can’t make it to training or games please let us know as soon as you can (you can email/text/phone Elaine – email address/phone number is on the website under ‘Committee Members’) Funds Game Payments Please remember to bring your £3 to every game. Some players are not up-to-date with their payments. This money is used to pay the referees and anything else that we need to buy for the club. 5k Sponsored Run This will help us raise funds for the club. Let us know if you still have your sponsorship form or if you need a new one. This will take place in Callendar Park when arrangements are made. Ideas If anyone has any ideas about other ways to raise funds for the team please let us know. New Players If anyone knows players who are looking to join a team please ask them to come along to any training session. Please also tell them to check the club website for training times etc. Match Days Home Games The boys should arrive at Stirling Road for approximately 8.45/9.00am. They should change into their football boots and organise the nets and corner flags. They should then return to the changing room, get kitted up and await the arrival of the coaching staff. Game payments should be given to Elaine at this time. Away Games As usual we will travel to away games in convoy. Meet at Stirling Road at approx 8.45am (depending on the distance to the fixture – check website for changes). Game payments will be collected by Elaine before the game starts. We have lost 3 players whose parents went to every game and therefore we have lost transport for quite a few boys. It would be extremely helpful if more parents could transport players to away games. If we cannot get to the away fixtures there is no point in continuing with the club. Support The boys have shown that they do not wish the club to fold. It would be great if as many parents as possible could attend the games to give them encouragement. Obviously some people work shifts etc and can’t always be there but any support would be appreciated by the club staff and the boys themselves. And finally….. A Message From Elaine I have volunteered to help Alan with the admin duties for the club. I’ll be liaising with the referees and opposition coaches to arrange fixtures and organising the paperwork required. I’ll also be taking on the role of ‘football strip cleaner’! I will try to do everything I can to make sure the club carries on and I expect the boys to put in the same degree of effort as I do. I believe that we all want to make it and hope that we can work as a team, play as a team and succeed as a team! We all have a part to play – boys, parents and club staff alike! If you have any questions or concerns my contact details are on the website under ‘Committee Members’.
