Back In The (fairly) Big Time!

The team was back in the second tier for the first time since 2007, and secured their highest ever league finish: eighth. Along the way, there were some memorable matches and some more forgettable. The opening day home win over Air Force and other home victories against Suphanburi and Sriracha stand out, as does the narrow home defeat to TPL champions Muangthong United in the League Cup – watched by over 10,000 people on a rain-soaked Wednesday evening.
On the road, the League Cup victory at Sriracha with nine men and the FA Cup penalty shoot-out triumph over TPL side TTM Chiang Mai – again with nine men – were highlights. As were away day league victories over Khon Kaen and PTT Rayong.
Attendances were strong throughout the campaign, and Korat finished the season with comfortably the highest average attendance and highest aggregate attendance.

n.b The assists column is far from complete and one or two (literally) substitute appearances may have escaped us.
Players marked with an asterisk* were released by the club during the season.
Most home matches have full written match reports; a few away games do, too.
