Under 8's

Lambton Lions U8s play in the Russell Foster Small Sided League at Ford Quarry on a Saturday monrning. The team formed as "tots" when the children were just 4 & 5 years of age, too young to play competition football but trained together and very quickly learned how to be part of a team. As soon as they were old enough to join a competition they joined the Russell Foster Youth League and played at Success Road on a Saturday morning for the 2006/2007 season they finished the season about mid table which was a fantastic achievement for the team. As part of the league the team played in the Steve Howey Trophy competition where they once again had a fantastic achievement of finishing runners up. As part of this competition the team, coaches and parents enjoyed a great presentation night at the Roker Hotel in Sunderland and all the children were overwhelmed to have their trophies presented and their photographs taken with Nyron Nosworthy (even the NUFC supporters).
This team have a great set of parents who all come along to support every game and training session and work tirelesly to generate funds for the team
