Good morning Larch Farm fans.
Firstly I want to publically appologise to Lowmoor, it has been pointed out that I might of been a bit harsh towards their players. So SORRY
Anyway today was Larch Farms biggest game of the season, all that stood between us and a place in the semi final of the cup were Red Square who are a league below us. And we didn't even get out of bed!
We started with leading scorer Craig Buchanan on the bench because of illness so Gaz 'Chewbacka' Armstrong started upfront by himself with Jamie Senior in support. Gaz 'Tintin' Whitworth went back to the familiar right back position with Tom 'I love Carling not Fosters' Backwell coming back into left back. Marc Stevens started on the right side of midfield and I think everything else was the same as last week.
Five minutes into the match it looked like it wasn't going to be Larch's day, Pete Stevenson physically shoved Tom Bakewell off the ball (Deffinate foul) on the right wing, he came inside and his shot beat Tom 'Larch Farms Number 1' Parkinson on his near post. 1 - 0.
Larchs luck didn't change because 5 minutes later it was 2 - 0. Squares other striker raced clear, Tom Parkinson and the striker both went into a 50 50 and the ball rebounded straight back to their striker. His shot was cleared off the line by Bakewell. Again the ball flew straight back to their striker who headed it into the empty net. RUBBISH. 2 - 0.
Larch then decided to get their heads out their arse and start playing. Good football by Jamie Senior resulted in Armstrong taking the ball off him and curling a 25 yard shot just over the bar. 10 minutes before half time Larch did get a goal back through Marc Stevens but his slidding finish was unfairly deemed off side by Red Squares linesman.
Just before half time Senior found his self one on one with Squares goal keeper, his attempted lob fell just wide and that spelt the end of a terrible half for Larch Farm
Half Time 2 - 0.
After a half time bollocking Larch were determined to get back into the match and started brightly. Unfortunatly 10 minutes into the half Red Squares corner cruely bounced off captain fantastic Dave Voller and ended up in our goal 3 - 0.
Craig Buchanan was introduced into the match after 60 minutes and imidiatelly made an impact by winning Larch a VERY dubious penalty. Craig took the penalty he won but didn't connect cleanly and the ball was saved for a corner. The corner was played in and volleyed in off the bar by senior. Great goal 3 - 1.
Larch looked to build on this but the finishing just wasn't there (Just like Larch's defence Ha Ha Ha)
Squares winger scored another soon after Larch's goal with a one on one, and then another 10 minutes from time from another one on one.
Few players can hold their heads up and say they played well. In my opinion they were Gaz Armstrong, Dave Voller, Jamie Senior and Matt Bailey.
Good luck to Red square in the next round, but just a kick message to the fat substitute on the bench. Look pall, yes we knew the score after every goal went in thankyou very much we needed need you telling us every 5 minutes. At least we took part in the match unlike you, you fat bold smelly TWAT.
But like I said good luck to Red Square in the next round.
