With Leicester sitting in second place and Leafield in fourth this was going to be a tough fixture and it turned out that way. The home side were quickly into their game, attacking with pace and purpose as Leafield struggled to get a grip . However, although Leicester threatened they never really created a clear cut chance and as Leafield settled into the game we were able to cope with Leicester's attacks . But going forward, we gave the ball away too often and failed to get enough good possession and support high up the pitch. Leafield were probably the more pleased of the two sides at the 0-0 half time score line. The second half was a much different picture though as we took control of the midfield and pressed forward in numbers and a few chances started to come our way. Hayley Packer was bundled over in the area for no reward and Sam went close with a couple of long range efforts.Leicester had their moments but with neither side being able to apply a clinical finish the game finished goalless. Another clean sheet again demonstrated our organisation and willingness to work for each other but we were denied the winning 3 points to close the gap on the leading teams.
