After last weeks cup semi-final defeat the under 13's were back in league action against Leafield.
Leafield turned up with only 9 players and Leamington had the bare 11 but Leafield put up a good fight and you would not have noticed they had 2 players missing
The game started with Leafield getting forward and troubling the Leamington makeshift defence with Ella and Danni playing as center defenders allowing Sophie R to move into central midfield
after 3 minutes Tyler went on a run from the half way line taking on Leafields defence before pulling her shot wide
then in the 6th minute a through ball by Lacey put Charlie in the clear and beat the keeper 1-0 to Leamington
but credit to Leafields 9 players there heads never dropped and on 15 minutes a through ball to the center forward seen her power her way through to equalize 1-1
Sophie R was then moved back into her usual defensive roll and Danni being moved into the center midfield roll
on 26 minutes Sophie H went on a run which hit the post and the ball rebounding to Charlie 2-1 Leamington
then Leamington put a bit of breathing space between the 2 teams when on 32 minutes Sophie H scored a goal which all her hard work deserved 3-1

Leamington kicked off and playing against the breeze but it was Leafield who scored 1st in the second half with a well taken goal 3-2
we was starting to think on the side lines that we wasn't going to fall apart like last week but it wasn't to be as Charlie put Tyler in to score 4-2
the game was end to end with leafield pushing forward but the defence holding out especially the full-backs Siobhan and Michaela and Zara in goal making a couple of good saves
with 12 minutes left Sophia passed the ball to charlie who stroked the ball into the net for her HATRICK 5-2 there would be no way back now for Leafield
a midfield run by Danni left her with a 1 on 1 with the keeper and a delicate chip over the keepers head made it 6-2

full time 6-2

a very good performance by the team and praise to Leafield who with only 9 players fought well

this was our 1st league win since 7th November but with the weather that was only 4 games but a very welcome 3pts

With 10 games left to play lets build on this win
