PROPOSED CLUB RULES
Date: 29/01/08
Leigh Gentlemen

Club Rules season 2008/09

SIGNING ON
Every player wishing to sign on for Leigh Gentlemen F.C will pay a signing on fee that must be paid by the end of the first month of commencement of the new season. (End of September)
Failure to do so will result in the player being dropped from the team.
***For the season 2008/09 the fee will be £40.00

*** This will be at the management discretion as there may be circumstances where the player cannot pay, please inform the management if you have problems.
PAYMENT OF SUBS
Subs are to be paid every Sunday before the game and the current rate is as follows:
£5.00 - For every player included in the starting eleven. £3.00 - For any named Substitute. ***
*** There will be a maximum of 3 substitutes named in each game; all 3 subs will pay £3 per game. If you come on in the 2nd minute or 89th it will still be £3. All those players NOT named as a sub don’t have to pay a bean.
Every player must pay £5.00 when they turn up, if you are a substitute or not named at all the money the club owes you will be taken off the following week.
Please note that if a player is absent from any game, by their own choosing, subs are still to be paid as follows:
£0.00 – If the player has informed the manager or club secretary that you are unable to make the game for any reason
£5.00 - For any player unable to attend and who has not informed either the Manager or Club Secretary. This could also result in the player being dropped from the following week’s fixture.
Payment of subs will be on a “6 weekly Rota” basis, basically if you don’t pay for 4 weeks you HAVE to pay on the fifth week, if you do not pay all outstanding subs on the fifth week you will not take part in the following weeks game and all further games until all subs are paid. This protects the people who get paid at random times in the month as when it’s a long month you should get paid at the latest every 5 weeks. (Guys, you don’t need to understand this, it’s purely for secretary’s benefit you will get used to this and realise where I am coming from)
• If you pay all outstanding subs on the sixth week then you might be included in the team as a substitute.
• It doesn’t matter if you start 6 games out of 6 or don’t play 1 minute in 6 games out of 6. The Rota will always be on a six week basis, maximum will be £30, minimum £0
• You will not be fined extra but you will continue to have subs added to your account as if you were a normal player on the basis that you would normally be in the starting 11.
Please note payment of Subs for friendlies may be totally different – expect to pay up to £5.00 for each friendly.
All of this is at management discretion; if there are mitigating circumstances there could be allowances made but only if the player has spoken to the management about it.
INJURIES & PAYMENT OF SUBS
Any player injured and unable to play must inform either the Manager or Club Secretary as soon as is possible. If you turn up on the day of the match and then decide to tell management that you are injured the full payment of subs, £5.00, will be payable.
If the player turns up drunk and either the player or the management decide you are unfit to play, you will pay the full £5.00 subs.
If the injury is deemed serious enough that you might be out for a few weeks the full payment might not need to be paid, this is entirely at the managements discretion. Their decision on this is final.
From the second week onwards for any injury, payment of subs will not need to be paid. This will protect the club from people who are just hung-over or on a skiing trip of some sort.
FINES
Timing – You will be given a specific time to meet every week, it will be sent through email and will be on the website. If you are more than 10 minutes late without an exceptional reason you will be fined £3.
If you don’t have access to the website or don’t have an email address then it is up to YOU to find out when and where the team are meeting, you will be able to do this by getting in touch with any of the contacts at the bottom of the rules.
Not attending the game – If, as far as the management are aware, you should be at the game and you don’t turn up for whatever reason, you will pay the full payment of subs, £5.00 the management will ALWAYS assume that you are available for each and every game; it is up to YOU to tell them otherwise through any means possible (Phone, email, website, smoke signal)
TRAINING
All players are expected to turn out for training. Failure to attend training sessions could result in a player being dropped from the squad. If you don’t attend pre-season training and have not informed us you will be fined £2.00 for each missed session. At the moment we don’t have training throughout the week due to other commitments, if it happens and we start training then the fines will be in place for that.
WASHING KIT
At the time of writing the kit is the responsibility of each individual. We expect things to change presently as new kit is added and training kit is supplied. Everyone will be informed of their responsibilities.

SPORTS INJURY INSURANCE
• It should be noted that Leigh Gentlemen F.C currently does not offer any from of insurance against injuries. Insurance against injury remains the responsibility of the player until further notice.
MISC
• If you are going to go straight to the ground on the day of a match please inform one of the contacts below in that order, if you cant get hold of the first, try the next.
• Substitutes or players that are subbed will be expected to run the line failure to do this may result in you being dropped from the next fixture
Having a linesman at each game is in the best interests of the club. It should be noted that failure to provide a linesman could result in the club being fined.
END OF SEASON
Any monies owing to the club at the end of the season must be paid within a week of the season finishing. Failure to do so will result in that player being dropped from playing in the new season for every subsequent week that payment is delayed. It is compulsory for every player to be present at any end of season event and do their up most to get as drunk as possible, have a good time and protect Will from coming to any harm!!!

Additional notes
• All fines throughout the season will go back into the club and hopefully pay towards trophies and drinks and food on presentation night. As will any leftover subs money.
• If you have been a regular substitute and find yourself running the line more often than others, make sure you bring it to the managements attention so they can deal with the situation.
• If in any doubt about anything to do with LGFC speak to someone about it. The contacts will talk about anything. LGFC has been alive for 2 years now; this is the first season under new management so every player’s full support will be needed this year more than most.
Remember that the managers’ decision is final; it is not an easy task so the team must now get behind him. Remember the team has a website that has been evolving over the last few weeks and all comments are needed. www.clubwebsite.co.uk/leighgentlemen
Everything you need to know about us will be on there, get using it and tell your friends to as well.

Enjoy 2008/09

PLAYERS SUBS
Date: 28/12/07
You need not be reminded of the current financial state of the club.
We need to be in a position were we have funds available to pay for things like training facilities and Pitch fee's.
At the moment it seems to be the complete reverse and the bills come in then we have to find the money.
In order for the team to continue this cannot carry on.
Individuals cannot and will not be expected to carry the team financialy in future.
By the beginning of next season a strict set of rules will be published and given to every player who signs on for the team.
Once a player signs for the team he also signs to say he agrees to be bound by those rules and any infringement will mean incurring penalties for doing so.
Any player running up debts against the club risks being reported to the league under the debtors rule.
In order that the club is to have a future and carry on improving both on and off the field people need to stick to the rules.
