LENZIE Youth Club under-19s have capped a near-faultless 12 months with a civic reception hosted by Depute Provost Anne Jarvis.
The side were named the West Region team of the year by the Scottish Football Association after scooping the Western Regional Cup, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish Amateur Youth Football Association League.
The Depute Provost presented the squad with their team of the year medals during the reception at Tom Johnson House on Friday night.
She said: "This team has had an incredible, record breaking year and are the first team in Scotland to have achieved all four of these honours in one season.
"It is right that we celebrate their success."
Team manager Billy Inglis added: "When we brought the team together six seasons ago, we never expected to reach these heights.
"However, the players, along with my coaching team of local guys Robert Stewart and Edward Robertson, have worked very hard to achieve this success.
"They have put in the hours on the coaching field and with our own long term commitment to Lenzie and youth football we felt that success would not be far away with the squad that we were building."
