Lenzie YC was formed in 1980 by Mr Ian Stevenson.

The club has gone from strength to strength winning 3 Scottish Cups in 1987,97 and 2007. Each age group has also won several leagues, cups and merit awards.

Lenzie YC has competed all over the world at various tournaments and several LYC players have moved into senior ranks enhancing the Club's name as a well respected and well organised boys' club.

The 1998 squad have been together since January 2007, starting off in the East Dunbartonshire Soccer Sevens. In June 2007, the team picked up their first-ever silverware when they were victorious in their age division of the East Dunbartonshire FC Festival of Football Tournament.

After playing 20 matches undefeated in the 2007-08 EDSSA league, the team switched to the Cumbernauld & Kilsyth SSDA league in January 2008.
As expected, the new higher-quality league proved a tough challenge although there were many positives such as the three consecutive victories notched in May.
