BFC Lyon are one of the teams within the 2001 Squad. While we play separately on a Saturday we train with the rest of our squad on a Monday night, ensuring a 'three teams, one squad' mentality is maintained.

Lyon take their name from the famous french club Olympique Lyonnais, who won their league a record breaking 7 years in a row from 2001. More importantly they are reknowned for how they play the game, and for their excellent youth system which prioritises long term development over short term attempts to buy success. Co-incidentally their nick-name is Les Gones or The Kids !

Coaches Gavin, John, David and Iain aim to unearth the next Benzema, Diarra or Essien and would be willing to settle for just a cut of just one of those eventual transfer fees !
