An early morning and Lonsdale-s first away game of the season, Lonsdale were without Goalkeeper Tez Wilson and Centre Back Garry Baker. Scott Newman deputises, while Danny Byrne comes into the midfield with James Devoir dropping into centre back.

Lonsdale started brightly and looked to have the game under control with slick passing and lots of pressure, this soon paid off when a a ball from Frdi Marku found Lee Singleton on the edge of the area and he flicked it onto Jack Marston his strike partner, Jack pounced onto the ball and dispatched it away with a cool finish. 1-0 to Lonsdale and they were looking very comfortable.

After the goal Lonsdale seemed to lose their way and everyones first touch and pass seemed to go astray. Astra soon picked up on this and started to heap the pressure on and Lonsdale were soon shaking.

A rare moment of the game and Astra were on the attack a ball forward saw Scott Newman race out of his goal to try and clear the ball, but instead of the ball he kicked the striker in the air. A penalty was awarded, the Astra play began his run up and fired into the net with Scott going in the opposite direction.

The half time whistle blew and Lonsdale were going into the break level, they should have dominated this game, but when the penalty was conceded they lost their momentum.

Second half began and Lonsdale still looked shakey, a few half chances but nothing clear cut for the away side as they pushed for the win. Astra piled on the pressure in the second half but couldnt find their way passed Scott Newman in the Lonsdale goal.

The game soon petered out and it was just a battle for possesion, which neither team could keep a hold of. Full time was approaching and it was apprent that Lonsdale should have clearly won this game but just could find the back of the net with there half chances.
