Please note that on Sunday 23rd November 2008 MCA FC will have no fixture. It is strongly advised that all players use this weekend to do Christmas shopping etc as there will be a build up of games before and over the christmas period.
Long Term – League Representation at other age levels
Objective : To investigate the opportunity and scope for the instigation of MCA FC teams at various age levels in local leagues.
Responsibility : Secretary and Manager.
Measure : Youth teams at younger age levels.
Target : 2010-2011 league season

General Statement
1.1 The official name of the Club shall be MAGHULL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB.
1.2 The Club shall be affiliated to the Liverpool County Football Association.
2.0 OBJECTIVES
2.1 To promote a positive and enjoyable sporting experience for all those associated with the Football Club.
2.2 To develop fitness and improve the football skills and techniques of all players.
2.3 To encourage players of all abilities to achieve sporting excellence and enjoy success through teamwork.
3.0 MEMBERSHIP
3.1 Membership is open to friends and families of any player who is a present member of the Club.
3.2 Player Membership is open age for men and boys.
3.3 The Club Committee shall have the power to expel a member when, in their opinion, it would not be in the interests of the Club for them to remain a member. There shall be no appeal procedures
3.4 All playing members shall register annually by signing a registration form, which will be kept by the Club Secretary
3.5 All members of the Club shall be required to abide by the Code of Conduct
3.6 Any materials and objects resulting from sponsorship (i.e. team strips etc) become the property of the Club.
3.7 Any team kits offered by sponsors shall be in the Club colours and design prevailing at the time.
4.0 COMMITTEE
4.1 The Club shall elect from amongst its membership an official acting Committee.
4.2 Club officials shall form part of the Committee.
4.3 The Committee shall have a Chairperson who will be re-elected by show of hands at an Annual General Meeting.
4.5 Some decisions will be referred to the Committee and will be based on a voting system of one member one vote with the Club Chairperson having a casting vote if a tied decision arises.
4.6 The Committee will meet on the first Monday of each month, or a date convenient to the Committee.
5.0 CLUB OFFICIALS
5.1 The Club shall elect the following officers at an Annual General Meeting: Chairman, Club Secretary, Treasurer, Manager, Asst Manager and Club captain. In the first year, the officials are as follows:

Manager - Neil Marten
Asst Manager - Mick Richardson
Club Captain - Daniel Ching
Independant Member - A full acting member of the MCA Club committee to be appointed.
5.2 The Club shall appoint other officers as necessary.
5.3 The Club shall promote fair play at all times and where necessary refer to the Code of Conduct.
6.0 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
6.1 An AGM will be held annually in July to which all adult members will be invited to attend.
6.2 The secretary will notify all members four weeks in advance of the meeting.
7.0 ACCOUNTS
7.1 The accounts will be inspected annually with certified accounts presented to the AGM of the Club each July.
7.2 The club’s financial year will run from 1st June each year.
7.3 All monies resulting from donations or fund raising carried out under the name of MCA FC shall become the property of the Club and be used in the furtherance of the Club as deemed by the Management Committee.
7.4 The manager or his representatives shall pass all monies raised through fund raising to the Club’s treasurer within 7 days of an event being held.
8.0 ALTERATIONS TO THE CONSTITUTION
8.1 The Club’s constitution can be amended or altered at an AGM.
8.2 It can also be altered at a Special General Meeting of the club that will require the Club Secretary receiving a petition from a minimum of six members.
8.3 Any motions to alter the constitution must be notified to members at least 14 days prior to the meeting.
9.0 DISSOLUTION OF THE CLUB
9.1 In the event of the dissolution of the Club, all commitments will be settled using the Club’s finances.
9.2 Any sums remaining in the Club’s account will be donated to a local charitable organisation or fund.
10 HEALTH AND SAFETY
10.1 Risk assessments shall be conducted before any training and playing activities. This will ensure that risk is kept to a minimum.
10.2 Accidents will be logged. The club has a sufficient number of first aiders to deal with any incidents.
10.3 Players must come to training and games with the correct equipment (boots, trainers, shinguards, waterproofs, etc). If players do not have the appropriate equipment, then they may not be allowed to participate in that session.
Code of Conduct - Coaches and Club Officials
• Coaches/Club Officials must respect the rights, dignity and worth of each and every person and treat each equally within the context of the sport.
• Coaches/Club Officials must place the well-being and safety of each player above all other considerations, including the development of performance.
• Coaches/Club Officials must adhere to all guidelines laid down by governing bodies.
• Coaches/Club Officials must develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual trust and respect.
• Coaches/Club Officials must not exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.
• Coaches/Club Officials must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance.
• Coaches/Club Officials must ensure that the activities they direct or advocate are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and ability of players.
• Coaches/Club Officials should, at the outset, clarify with the players exactly what is expected of them and also what they are entitled to expect from their coach.
• Coaches/Club Officials must co-operate fully with other specialists (e.g. other coaches, officials, sports scientists, doctors, physiotherapists) in the best interests of the player.
• Coaches/Club Officials must always promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play) and never condone violations of the Laws of the Game, behaviour contrary to the spirit of the Laws of the Game or relevant rules and regulations or the use of prohibited substances or techniques.
• Coaches/Club Officials must consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance.
• Coaches/Club Officials must not tolerate or use inappropriate language.
Code of Conduct – Players
Obligations towards the game
A player should
• Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina.
• Not smoke 1 hour before kick off, as this shows a distinct lack of focus and preparation for the game your about to play in. If you are caught doing this you will be dropped.
• Any player found to attend a game or training under the influence of alcohol, will not be allowed to play, and will recieve a warning. All players must prepare well before a game and turn up fresh and ready.
• Must wear club tracksuits to each home and away fixture.
• Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if his team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved.
• Set a positive example for others, particularly younger players and supporters.
• Avoid all forms of gamesmanship and time wasting.
• Always have regard for the best interests of the game, including where publicly expressing an opinion on the game and any particular aspect of it, including others involved in the game.
• Not use inappropriate language.
Obligations towards one’s own team
A player should
• Make every effort consistent with Fair Play and the Laws of the Game to help his own team win.
• Resist any influence, which might, or might be seen to, bring into question his commitment to the team winning.
• Ensure that any non attendance, for training or matches is communicated as soon as possible to club officials.
• If you fail to train this may render you liable to miss out of the next competitive game, if your injured you must attend a session to work on your fitness and to show the injury to a club official.
• Resist any influence, which might, or might be seen to, bring into question his commitment to the team winning.
Obligations towards training and match fixtures
A player should
• Meet at the Whinneybrook no later than 60 mins before kick off for any home fixture
• Meet at the MCA Club no later than 1 hour 15minutes before kick off for any scheduled away fixture, sometimes times may be earlier dependant on location of away fixture.
• Ensure that any non attendance, for training or matches is communicated as soon as possible to club officials.
Obligations towards funding and fundraising
A player should
• Attend all club related fund raising events
• Ensure all payments for subs, £3 on match days and £2 training days are paid promptly before each fixture/training session
• Take it upon himself to sell the required number of “spot the balls” (or other fundraising schemes) to cover any possible deductions from club funds due to bookings and/or sending offs during fixtures.
• Attend (where possible) after match social events at the MCA Club
Respect for the Laws of the Game and competition rules
A player should
• Know and abide by the Laws, rules and spirit of the game, and the competition rules.
• Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally.
• Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques.
Respect towards Opponents
A player should
• Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game.
• Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid violence and rough play, and help injured opponents where appropriate.
Respect towards the Match Officials
A player should
• Accept the decision of the Match Official without protest.
• Avoid words or actions, which may mislead a Match Official.
• Show due respect towards Match Officials.
Respect towards Team Officials
A player should
• Abide by the instructions of their Coach and Team Officials, provided they do not contradict the spirit of this Code.
• Show due respect towards the Team Officials of the opposition.
Obligations towards the Supporters
A player should:
• Show due respect to the interests of supporters.
