In a match that defied the stereotypical end of season fare, the boatbuilders caused a major power surge in the station when they shocked Chernobyl with anbelievable fightback.
The game started at a furious pace and it was the Malakoff who struck first when Steven Leckie fed Ross Herculeson who in turn swung in the ball for Andrew Stout to knock it back for Craig Jenkins who hit home.
Chernobyl found a leveller when a goal bound shot took a wicked deflection enroute to the net for 1-1.
Malakoff continued the fight and Jenkins notched another when Leckie fed Richie Gardner who provided an excellent cross for Craig Jenkins to smash home for 2-1.
The end to end action continued and Chernobyl levelled, Robbie Goudie smashing home a contender for goal of the season, an outstanding shot from outside the box rocketing into the top corner.
Chernobyl had the bit between the teeth and applied pressure, it was 3-2 when after a lethal corner,Malakoff centre half Adrian Henry under severe pressure from 2 Hoops attackers, had no other option but to deflect the ball into his own net.
It became 4-2 when Nobby Wright found space in the box to knock home.
Half time and into the 2nd half it appeared to be game over when Robbie Goudie smashed home for 5-2.
It was then when the Boatbuilders decided to up it and make an astonishing fight back.
5-3 came when Steven Leckie went through sent in a great cross for Craig Jenkins to lob home for his hat trick.
5-4 arrived, when Alan Baptie shot home from the edge of the box, the comeback was complete when Richie Gardners always dangerous right foot swung in a free kick over the hoops defence, to find Baptie who sneaked home for the leveller.
It was all Malakoff and they amazingly when ahead when James Manson sent a delightful ball over the top for Leckie to hit home off the post.
The boatbuilders defended resolutely to deny Chernobyl and with minutes left found the comfort zone when Leckie charged through keeping his cool for 7-5.
Referee Goodhand blew for full time and ended a tremendous performance from Malakoff who after coming back from 5-2 down thoroughly deserved their win, everybody for them were stars but Richie Gardner and Johnny Manson at the back, Allan Baptie in midfield and of course Leckie and Jenkins up front were the pick of the bunch.
