Maldon & Tiptree U8 Play away to Doddinghurst Olympic Yellows U8

The U8’s Puma’s faced their first Chelmsford league away game on Saturday, and once again did our club proud! Not only did they play with their tactile, mature attitude and talents they once again brought the match to an end with a win away!

The new formation to the team brought a fresh spirit to the game, with our new assigned defender Jake Bewley showing us all exactly what a defender should do, and even going on to score us a goal with a classic celebration of “DOMINO’S” and without a shadow of a doubt not only earning himself a pizza but also the title of man of the match. He was followed in the goal scoring line up with Ben/Calum (joint effort), Jamie, and Luke. George also scored us a goal, but this was disallowed by the ref.

Our goalkeeper Jack also did us proud, as was made to see stars by saving a goal with his face and was still dazed whilst attempting to jump to his feet before conceding a much unwanted goal. Jack once again played really well. .

The lads battled their way through the match, to such a degree, that one of the dads from the opposition believed we had one more player on the pitch, and even brought this to the attention of the ref, mid play in the 2^nd half LOL, we were playing 8 a side, by the request of the home team. This can only be a credit to our boys, but by no means a disregard to the talents of the home team, who were more than a worthy side.

This was by far one of our most challenging matches I have witnessed them play. So I feel a big congratulation is in order for our boys have been well earned, and we should all be as proud of them as I am!
