Following a very succesful first season in the Eastern Junior Alliance Suffolk Division where we finished in a very creditable 3rd position in the League we are busy with our preparations for the coming season. Training has been going now since the start of August and the boys are looking fit and ready to go.
We also played our first friendly of the new season against our rivals from last season, Cambridge City, and in a very competitive game the honours were even in a 3-3 draw. It was an impressive start bearing in mind we had no first choice goalkeeper and Joe and Kurtis played a half each between the posts. We have a further two matches still to come before we start the season in earnest on the 16th September with a home league game against Ransomes.
If we can reproduce the form of last season particularly towards the end of the season where we had 7 wins in 8 games then we are looking good for another exciting season.
