We went to PILCS with John Devlin, Matthew Devlin injured and Tomo and Harvey work commitments missing.
Chris Hall came in at Centre Half for his first start of the season and did a grand job. Jacko went back up front with Jock back in goal after missing the previous week.
We did not look as positive in our warm up as in previous weeks and they were told so in a good team talk before the game, but the boys couldnt have proved me more wrong because they went for it from the 1st whistle, Anything that PILCS could muster up was thwarted by Geriant and Wolfy in the middle of the park. It wasnt long before we scored our first through some good play from the left Jamie Devlin split there defence with a crcking threw ball that Jacko picked up and used his pace and strength to leave the defence dazed and slotted the ball under the keeper 1-0 and already deserved.
We totally outplayed PILCS from the re start and with in 10 mins of the goal there was one bit of play from Constant that had everyone in disbelief with 1st the skill of the man then he knocked 1 ball with the outside of his foot 50 yards straight to John Titley on the right wing.
we could of easily have been 5 up at half time.
Half time we all were positive about the 2nd half but i had to tell them that the week before against New Inn we done the same and went back out and were awful for 20 mins so not to let that happen.
Well the boys again didnt let that happen and we were back on our normal game as soon as the whistle went, again anything PILCS threw at us we mopped it up in all departments quite at ease.
One move started from Nicky Constant that was swithched across to the left, then back through the middle and then again down the right i swear everyone in the side touched the ball in this move and it must have been twenty passes made evetually Constant pulled the ball back from the bye line to Jamie Devlin to narrowly miss even the Ref said it was the best move he has seen in years of local football.
PILCS had a free kick 10 feet outside our area which Jock made a good save from by tipping it over the bar but he said he didnt think it was going but was a tad bored from doing hardly anything all afternoon. With 3 mins remaing the ball was crossed into the PILCS box, there centre half headed out but John Titley volleyed the ball from 25 yards to score an absoulute pearler. A well deserved victory and plenty of confindence going into the cup next week against Abercarn who are two divisions higher than us.
