On a cold and windy Autumn morning, the Glads took on Malpas FC our local rivals away, at Bettws High School. In the first half the Glads dominated, hitting the woodwork twice with efforts from Alex and Sam but were unable to get a goal, and it was Malpas who scored first hitting the Glads on a counter attack, the first half ended 1-0 to Malpas.
The second half began with the Glads eager to get themselves a goal, and it was Laurie who completed a good move and slotted the ball in the net. The Glads seemed to be more relaxed then and the football began to flow, Jayden got the second when he struck a craker straight into the net, and it was Laurie who got the last one after a good run from Sam, Laurie finished off in style. Malpas did try to get themselves back in the game and forced Will to pull off two cracking saves in goals to keep them at bay.
All the Glads gave it their all on the day and as usual all played some good football.
