Originally formed in 2003 as Manchester Motown, we are now known as Motown FC following a brief spell as Four In Hand Motown. We are an FA Charter Standard club affiliated to Manchester FA and play in the Manchester Publicity Sunday League Division One.
2007/08 was a mixed season for us winning our first major honour in The Paul Myers Cup, a fantastic 3-3 draw after extra time was eventually settled on Penalties with us avenging our defeat in the final of 2006. Our league form was inconsistent and we narrowly avoidedrelegation from our Division.
We play all our home games at Turn Moss, Chorlton. Away games see us play across South Manchester and we train every Tuesday evening between 9:00pm & 10pm at Timperley Sports Centre.
The Secretary for the club is Dan Czuba. Dan is assisted by Martin Kilroy (Treasurer), Maurice Stallman (Chair), Louis Stallman (Manager), Brendan Camm (Club Captain) and Ross Murray (Welfare Officer). These individuals make up the committee.
Motown are committed to raising standards and developing the individuals within the club both in terms of playing and attaining football related qualifications through our Coach Education programme.
Each Club member agrees to a code of conduct which is enforced by the committee. In addition to this every player is covered by Public Liability insurance through Manchester FA.
We received our FA Charter Standard award in April 2005.
