Four In Hand Motown

Originally formed in 2003 as Manchester Motown, we changed our name to Four In Hand Motown ready for the start of the 2007/08 season. We are affiliated to Manchester FA and play in the Manchester Publicity Sunday League Division One.

Our main sponsor is the Four In Hand Pub on Palatine Road in Withington and we are also supported by City College Manchester.

We play all our home games at Hough End, Chorlton. Away games see us play across South Manchester and we train every Thursday evening between 9:00pm & 10pm at Benchill Community Centre.

The Secretary for the club is Dan Czuba. Dan is assisted by Martin Kilroy (Treasurer) Steve McGrory (Chair), Maurice Stallman (Manager), Louis Stallman (Coach), Pete Camm (Club Captain), Tony Ball (Captain & Club Welfare Officer) and Ross Murray (Social Secretary). These individuals make up the committee.

In 2006 Motown reached our first cup final where we lost to Arches in the Paul Myers final. We also won the Secretary of the Year and were recognised by the League picking up the Fair Play award.

Four in Hand Motown are committed to raising standards and developing the individuals within the club both in terms of playing and attaining football related qualifications through our Coach Education programme.

Each Club member agrees to a code of conduct which is enforced by the committee. In addition to this every player is covered by Public Liability insurance through Manchester FA.

In April 2005 the club were presented the FA Charter Standard award.
