The 05/06 season brought new expectations set by the quality of the players that the club brought in. A new young squad was expected to quickly gel into a team that others find incredibly difficult to beat. The rejuvenated club did just that though and ended the season achieving the main aim of promotion after finishing 2nd in the league. They also reached the semi finals of not only the Division 2/3 Cup(only to be knocked out after playing the whole of extra time with 10 men after a dubious referee's decision) but also the semi finals of the Dorset Minor Cup as well which rounded off a great season.
