Mawnan Association Football Club are members of the Cornwall County Football Association and The Trelawny League premier division and division four Since 2000 the club has been one of the most successful in junior football by winning the county championship and the league championships in division one and two. The club's current chairman, Mr David Rickard, was presented with a gold medal by the Football Association for over 50 years' service to Mawnan Football Club. The club can also lay claim to the fact that two of its former players, Matthew Etherington and Kevin Miller, went on to become professional footballers. After 12 years at the helm of the Ist XI, Gregg Renfree and his assistant and club coach, Charlie Coombes, have stood down. Hoping to replicate their phenomenal run of success are the new managers, Andy Anear (Ist XI) and Ian Ferguson (2nd XI). Jason Renfree will assist Andy and Paul Caunter will assist Ian.
