McEwan are recruiting for Iceland 2008, the last celebrity tournament at that venue. Rumours of enough players to make 2 squads this year.

South Beach Classic

McEwan FC are in the final preparations for the South Beach Classic on January 25-26, 2008. Confirmed players: Trevor Stewart, Matt Garner, Michel Cowdery, Gary Purcell, Felipe Penna, Steve Zeiser, Jimmy Depew. Stewart, Garner, Cowdery and Purcell return from the Las Vegas tournament. McEwan welcome Zeiser and Penna to their full team debuts. Both come from the Sports Mall indoor league and were signed after months of negotiations. Depew returns to McEwan after a 10 year absence. He will re-unite with the old boys Stewart, Garner and Cowdery. As of printing, the Glimmer Twins were listed as "maybe" for the tournament. Rumours abound whether this is a player wage issue or Keith and Matt having previous commitments. More to follow.

McEwan are recruiting for the upcoming tournament in Iceland. British Airways has flights to Rekjavik for £129 return from London (book by 24th Sept).

INDOOR 6v6 soccer against teams from across the USA, England, Canada, as well as teams from Iceland and enjoy a weekend of the legendary Iceland nightlife - as well as optional scenic trips to the gorgeous Iceland scenery including the Blue Lagoon, Geysers, Waterfalls, Fjord's, Volcanic Landscape and an assortment of ecological wonders!
