Medway's brief winning streak was brought to a halt as they lost 5-0 to Rainham Eagles in their penultimate game of the season.
Played at Beechings Cross, Medway struggled on the wide pitch as Eagles passed the ball confidently. They took the lead when a long ball put the striker through and he put the ball past the keeper. They extended their lead before half time with a well worked free-kick.
Medway did create chances of their own though and were unlucky not to the find the net on a few occassions, with Martyn Jeynes' long strikes just going wide. And they came close again when Guner Yusuf and Matt Drake combined well on the left and Yusuf's cross was smothered by the keeper under pressure from Paul Briggs.
Eagles scored a third shortly after the break which put the game beyond Medway's reach and they scored two more later on.
Medway will finish off their season with a home game against title-chasing Intergills next week.
