After playing in local village leagues, Awbridge Reserves have spent many years playing in the Southampton League.
The clubs golden age saw the side climb up to Senior ranks where they mostly remained until relegation in 1993 saw them gradually slip down to Junior Division 4. In 2001, despite being mid-table in Junior Division 3 they successfully applied to join the Hampshire League Combination 2 in an effort to bridge the gap between the 1st and 2nd sides. A year later the club merged with Michelmersh & Timsbury and the Combination side remained as the Reserves team.
After three years spent in lower mid-table the side was harshly forced to return to the Southampton League in 2004 when the Hampshire and Wessex Leagues merged.
The side were placed in Senior Division 2 (replacing the previous years 'A' side) and remained there, holding down a comfortable mid-table position until 2007 when the league re-organised it's Senior Section to two larger divisions with the Reserves being placed in the Senior Division (the old Senior Division 1).
