INTRODUCING OUR 'B' SIDE

Michelmersh & Timsbury have enjoyed a long association with the Southampton League.

In 2004 the club formed a popular Veterans side after a suggestion by two "ageing" players Adrian Hood and Martyn Evans.

This new side (for players aged over 35), quickly attracted many new players to the club as it replaced the old 'B' side from the previous campaign. Upon enrollment they transferred from Junior Division 3 to the Veterans 'B' Division.

Our debut season, 2004/05 was mostly a success as we finished mid-table.

For 2005/06 we were placed in the League's new 'C' Division where we did well, finishing 3rd to win promotion and winning the division's Supplementary Trophy.

The 2006/07 season saw a steady midtable position maintained in a tough 'B' Division but in 2007/08 the team were hit hard by injuries and were eventually relegated from an extremely close division.

After a season of consolidation in the 'C' Division, lets hope the 2009/10 campaign brings a true return to form!
