Middlesex United take part in 5 A Side league at Egham Leisure Centre for the first time.
Having played 8 Games MXU win 2 and lose 8 and finish 4th in a league of 5.
The team began the tournament in a very naive mood and giving teams respect in the opening game cost them as they went down.
As the tournament goes on MXU begin to gel as a team and results improve with MXU having lead in all but 1 game after this but greater fitness and greater experience of 5 a side football from the opposition mean all effort was wasted as lack of concentration and a killer instinct meant that too many games were lost from winning situations.
If MXU can improve game concentration and fitness then in future tournaments they could be a threat. Overall though a good start in 5 a side football and not finishing bottom has to be commended as it was the first time that most of the players played along side eachother.
