Information to Parents for Non-competitive 7-a-sides Football. CLUB POLICY AND LANARKSHIRE FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION GUIDELINES HEALTH & SAFETY All players MUST wear rubber/nylon studded boots and shinguards. Children who require spectacles when playing should consult an optician to obtain safety lenses or guards. No game will be played in seriously inclement weather. MATCH ARRANGEMENTS The pitch and goal sizes should suit local circumstances. Recommended dimensions are 55m x 36m by 1.8m goals sizes (as approved by SFA). A size 4 leather ball should be used. Each game should be 15-20 minutes each way with a 5 minute break. Teams can play up to 10 players with sustitutions at any time. Normally games are 7-a-side for all age groups except for under 7's where 5-a-side is recommended. ALL MEMBERS OF TEAMS AT ALL AGE GROUPS SHOULD BE GIVEN EQUAL PLAYING TIME IRRESPECTIVE OF ABILITY
