The decision to split from Craythorne Harriers and form our own side was taken at the end of 2003-04.
After much grovelling to the league we were eventually accepted into the Freeman Travel division 4.
We travelled all the way to Chesterfield for our first ever game and rather fittingly it was Manager Wes Yardley who scored the first ever goal for Monks Bridge FC.
However we suffered a 6-2 defeat in what was a very memorable only ever appearance for Johnny Lowe in goals!
Our first ever league game saw a 5-2 home defeat by Western Rovers.
The season did take a turn for the better though and a run of 12 wins and a draw from 13 league matches saw us enter the final 2 games with a 5 point cushion at the top.
However the last 2 games came against our main rivals and we suffered defeat at the hands of Snooty Fox and Western Rovers to leave us with a highly creditable finish of 2nd in our first season.

With a high turnover of players for this season we struggled to adapt to life in the division above and eventually finished the year bottom of the pile.
Highlights from this season were few and far between but a penalty shoot out victory over AFC Hilton from the league above was a memorable game.
Two firey encounters with Etwall Comets also stick out for all the wrong reasons with the club receiving a mis conduct charge for our part in a 22 man brawl.

After the embarrassment of relegation the season before we made wholesale changes to the squad with 7 or 8 players leaving and being replaced by better players.
We entered the season on the back of a very pleasing pre season and had high hopes for a good finish.
After an indifferent start we signed Paul Salt and Matt Brooker and from this point on we didnt look back.
We raced to the top of the table and stayed there all season despite the challenge of Willington Reserves and a penalty shoot out victory over Beacon Rovers saw us make our first ever final vs Wyggy FC.
We were 3-2 winners in the cup final thanks to a double from Matt Brooker and a goal from Jamie Brown in front of 250 at Stapenhill FC.
We then won our final 4 league games to claim our first ever league title and secure a well deserved double.

After the euphoria of winning the double the year before we had high hopes of repeating our success and winning back to back promotions.
This seemed on the cards as we made a flying start to the season and we were top of the league at Christmas.
However we suffered a blip after the New Year and the breaking point seemd to come when we lost out on penalties to Moira United in the semi final of the divisional cup.
Our season seemd to run out of steam now and back to back defeats by Shobnall Dynamo ended our hopes of promotion and saw us slip to a 4th place finish.
Dave Hylton was named as divisional player of the year for his outstanding performances in the sticks.

After the disappointing end to the previous season we were determined to put things right in our new campaign and we did so in style by claiming the league title and Junior cup.
A flying start to the season saw us go unbeaten in our first 13 league games before eventually losing to Winshill.
On the back of this we enjoyed runs to the quarter finals of the Metro cup and also got through to the final of the Junior Cup at Burton Albion.
Despite putting in one of our worst performances of the season we defeated Shobnall Rovers Reserves 3-2 to finally claim the trophy we had coveted since our formation.
We also won our last 6 league matches to win the league by an impressive 8 points from nearest challengers Miners Arms.
Losing only 2 league games all season was also a best for us.
To add to our success on the field we received a couple of awards off field aswell with Wes Yardley winning Secretary of the Year and Dean Blades being named divisional player of the year.
