MORETON RANGERS HISTORY
Moreton Rangers was formed in 1997 as an Under 8 youth team playing on the old Moreton Town ground in London Road Moreton in Marsh.
Unable to use the Moreton Town name due to the previous clubs financial demise the players in this young team voted on the new name.
The club soon went from strength to strength as it expanded to 4 youth teams by 2000 and teams went on to be successful in the Witney and District Youth League.
In 2004 it was decided to start an adult team and led by former Cheltenham Town favourite and local Moreton Player Nick Jordan. The side entered its first season in the Cheltenham League Division 2. Finishing mid table and winning the County Intermediate Cup.
In March 2006 the Club was awarded F.A. Development club status as it supports 5 youth Teams, an Adult side and a Veterans side. The Adult side is now made up of several of the original Under 8 team.
