Report

Another fine team display from the Albion, and to be honest the score line flattered the opposition. Without Tomi between the sticks it was always going to be a mammoth task for Nick in goal against the team 2nd in the league. Though he kept his head and couldn-t have done anything to stop the first two goals. Helped immensely by a rigid defence he made a couple of saves one excellent one in the second half.

The defensive line was once again impeccable all four of them working the line together. There was the odd slip up but on the whole I was really pleased. The midfield worked hard and battled for the ball, and the pressure we applied at the start of the first and the second half made the opposition panic on occasions. Once again we weren’t afraid to challenge.

We had 3 or four chances on goal during them game, had we scored any of them it could have been a different story.

Let’s not take anything away from Landore they tried to play a good game and were snuffed out on quiet a few occasions by the determination of our players. We were spot on with our throws with Matt and Josh being faultless, unlike the opposition who gave away four of five foul throws.
Picking the man of the match was once again with so many players shining in their respective roles. I had narrowed it down to 2 with 5 minutes to go, and my final choice was Josh for his outstanding efforts in defence especially as he was carrying an injury.

I am convinced that since the stop start fixtures of the winter, with a few games in a row, this team has developed a fantastic team ethic and have really grown in confidence.

Well done boys you have once again done yourself and your parents proud.
