Match Report
This was always going to be a hard game. I am pleased to say you were up for the match and worked hard all over the park, matching East Bridgford with some strong defending from Harry, Sam and Lewis. Kieren once again showed his trickery when the ball is at his feet, weaving his way to score the first goal. Alex distribution from the back was once again first class. Our second goal coming from the head of Thomas has he rose at the far post to head in from 2 yards, after another delightful cross from Alex. Matt performance in goal ensured we kept a clean sheet up to half time. In the second half both sides hit the wood work and were denied by some good goalkeeping. I was especially pleased to see our goalkeeper making his presence felt inside the box coming and punching away crosses, if our other goalkeepers learn one thing from Matt I hope it will be how well he dominated his area he was in charge and he took responsibility in that area. So come on Ben and Bradley lets see you raise your game. It was great to have our first clean sheet of the season bought about by not only good goalkeeping but simple no nonsense defending from Sam and Harry. The whole of the midfield worked hard, Lewis gave us a bit more bit and aggression which was needed. Thomas worked hard as usual, it was good to see him score and have a few more shots. It was great to see Jake stick at it and towards the end of the match do what he does best run at defenders and take the initiative to them. Billy your magic was not there today as we struggled at times to get the ball to you but I do like how you link up with your team mates and battle for the ball.
Keep improving and performing like this and who knows what might happen. Well Played Lads another good Result
