New Farington House FC where forced to play this fixture away after their home pitch at Kingsfold Playing Fields was under water. The Lostock pitch was no better with standing water everywhere but the referee insisted the fixture must be played so the game went ahead on what only can be described as a swamp.
The game started and Farry House had the better of the first 20 minutes but it was AFC Lostock Hall who took the lead after 28 minutes when a free kick from 30 yards out evaded everyone and ended up in the back of the Farry net.
It was 0-2 after 35 minutes when a cross from the right was finished off by a midfield runner. Farry had the running of the first half they had a goal chalked off and a chance cleared off the line but the half time score was New Farington House 2 AFC Lostock Hall 0.
Farry started the second half but couldn't find a way through. They found themselves 3 down on the 56th minute when a long ball through the middle was tapped home.
Farry pressed to get back into the game but the were caught twice more on the 83rd and 88th minute to make the final score New Farington House 0 AFC Lostock Hall 5.
Overall a poor pitch and some poor decisions from the officials saw New Farington House finish the season off with a defeat. Farry must now regroup and go again next season.
Man of the match: Some good solid performances from Howson at the back and Savigar in the goal but Rick Jones was solid agin at centre back. Well done mate.
