Skipper Wayne Jepson moved to Cwmbran Town, leaving Tom Morgan to become the youngest ever New Inn club captain.
However, New Inn's failure to replace Anthony Davies and Matt James (who both left during the previous season), made it a very difficult season. Second bottom at christmas, manager Paul Blackwell decided to step down after four and a half years in charge. Veteran defender Simon Duggan took charge, and New Inn survived. Although this was partly due to Thornwell Red & White withdrawing from the league.
New Inn's most successful season of recent years, saw them top of the table at the end of November. However the departure of goalkeeper Matt James and top scored Anthony Davies saw the team stutter in the second half of the season. An eventual fifth place finish was a huge improvement on recent seasons but a disappointment given the excellent start.
