The History of Newlands CFC Under 17s (1995)

The current Newlands CFC Under 17 side was formed in August 2004 with 9 boys to play 7-a-side at U10 level. After playing friendly games against teams in West Lothian, Newlands joined the West Lothian Soccer Development Association (WLSDA) in the January 2005.

The team progressed through the WLSDA playing 7-a-side at U11 & U12 levels and now play 11-a-side in the West Lothian Association of Youth Football Clubs (WLAYFC).

SEASON 2007/2008: the team played in the WLAYFC U13 League B finishing 2nd equal gaining promotion to WLAYFC League A.

SEASON 2008/2009: the team played in the WLAYFC U14 League A; unfortunately they finished 10th and were relegated to League B.

SEASON 2009/2010: the team played in the WLAYFC U15 League B; finishing 2nd and promoted to League A. They also won the Bob Lambie (League B) Cup and reached the final of the County Cup.

SEASON 2011/2012: the team played in the WLAYFC U16 League A; finishing 6th equal. They also reached the final of the Wilson (League A) Cup. 

SEASON 2011/2012: sees the lads playing in the WLAYFC U17 League.
