2012 parks, playing fields and playgrounds are being protected to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
To get involved, visit www.qe2fields.com and search by your postcode or local authority to find a green space in your local area.
When you find a space you know and love, or even one you just like the look of, you can click to show your support.
If you can’t find the one you want, then you can download a call to action card to send off to your local authority urging them to get involved!
Alison Moore-Gwyn, Chief Executive of Fields in Trust, called on people to get involved and show how important your local outdoor green spaces are to you.
“Voting is now open so please tell your friends and family all about it and get voting! If your local council hasn’t yet signed up please send them a Call to Action card,” she said.
“Please support this wonderful project. Her Majesty wants it to succeed; our fantastic Patron, The Duke of Cambridge wants it to succeed and so do all the people (and their children and children’s children) whose playing fields will be protected through it.”
