In March 2008 a new committee was formed with Gary Thomas as Chairman. The new committee inherited a large but disperate club with a lack of overall control on teams, players and coaches.
Within the first few months a number of teams were lost or disbanded, including the senior side, all girls teams and the ability team. This left the club with a core of around 40 players mostly within the Mini Soccer set-up.
The committee set about trying to re-structure and consolidate both the playing and non-playing elements of the club. Within a few months several new Level One coaches had qualified and begun coaching younger players. The number of players started to grow, and within 12 months the club was looking very healthy.
At the 2009 AGM Gary Thomas told the meeting that the club had enjoyed a fantastic 12 months with progress on and off the pitch. The clubs financial position had improved thanks to the efforts of treasurer Chris Collings, and the club would be entering 7 teams for the 2009/10 season.
The next 12 months saw continued growth and expansion of the club under the stewardship of the same committee. At the 2010 AGM Gary Thomas again reported that the club had enjoyed a successful 12 months. Chris Collings reported that the club had around 130 playing members, and Secretary Chris Partridge informed the meeting that the club had affiliated 11 teams for the 2010/11 season.
At the 2010 AGM Gary Thomas also announced his intention to step down as Chairman. Vice Chairman Ian Tomlinson was proposed and elected as Chairman, with Gary Thomas being elected Vice Chairman. Anna Finnemore was elected as Child Welfare Officer having already taken over the post from Nicky Fox.
