The team began as Bramhall North Under 9's in the 2003/4 season playing mini-soccer. The squad was split into two teams, A & B, although players passed between both teams in an attempt to keep the teams of relatively even strength. For the majority of players it was their first taste of competitive football and it took some time for them to adjust to the discipline of team play but over the season the record was 20 wins and 13 draws from 67 matches.
The following season the Under 10 squad needed to be re-inforced with the loss of the younger players who stayed down with the new Under 9's. The team got a boost prior to the start of the season by winning the Marple Athletic 6-a-side tournament in an exciting final against Hillgate Boys.
Yet again the sides fielded were changed from week to week and of equal strength as opposed to some clubs who loaded their A teams with the best players and made up the B team with what was left over.
It is therefore fairly indicative that while our A team lost 12 of their 28 matches, the B team won 17 out of 26 matches.
The full record including friendly matches was 37 wins and 9 draws from 85 games scoring 196 goals and conceding 194.
Season 2005/6 saw the team introduced to the 11-a-side format but a poor start to the season gave the team a mountain to climb to achieve promotion from the second division. A run of 10 straight victories including cup matches pushed the team to within striking distance of the promotion places and they were also the first team to take a point off runaway leaders Stockport Vikings who had previously knocked us out of the cup at the quarter-final stage but an unexpected reverse at the hands of Ladybridge Park, a draw against rivals High Lane, defeat on a bog of a pitch at Hillgate and a further loss to Vikings meant a disappointing fourth place was achieved, two points behind the joint runners-up.
However due to an influx of new teams, the League was re-structured so that along with champions Stockport Vikings and joint runners-up High Lane Juniors & Hillgate Boys, we were promoted from the second division into the First Division for the 2006/7 season.
The team found life in the top flight difficult, with no new players brought in, it was the same team as the previous season and the step up was not as easy for some as others.
The first league win was not achieved until February although in many cases the performance merited more than the result.
Unfortunately the team finished second from bottom and seemed doomed to relegation but off the pitch the team management felt that Bramhall North's ambitions did not match theirs and approached Norbury Athletic with a view to becoming their Under 13's for season 2007/8.
Once again the League was forced to re-structure with the resignation of Reddish Vulcans and West End Boys but this allowed the team to retain their first division status for the 2007/8 season.
