Report

Great Moor A were crowned league champions tonight but not before rock bottom Norbury had given them a bit of a fright.
Norbury stunned Great Moor with two goals inside the first quarter of an hour both finished superbly by Oliver Clyne as he ran in from the right onto through balls.
Norbury had a couple of scary moments but the defence, for once receiving some protection from the midfield, seemed capable of coping with Great Moor's frequent attacks.
Great Moor got themselves back into the game on twenty three minutes when Norbury failed to track the run of a midfielder from a long free kick allowing him the simplest of chances to find the back of the net.
Three minutes later confusion in the Norbury area left a player unmarked and the scores were levelled.
Despite having the wind at their backs after the break, Norbury were finding it difficult to clear the ball as Great Moor went in search of the lead but the back four of Will Vallely, Calum Davies, Jack Saville and Charlie Gill were in resolute mood and defended stoically.
With Dan Hovington performing tirelessly on the left, George Yarwood battling in the centre and Alex Crispin working the right flank, Norbury were just about holding their own.
Dan Rothel made a great block at the near post that went for a corner and a similar save that rebounded to a forward who blazed over from five yards.
Great Moor finally got their third goal but somewhat contraversially as their centre forward appeared to push Saville over before thumping it home.
The lead was extended five minutes later after Rothel had made three brave point blank saves but the ball rebounded to an unmarked forward to fire into an empty net.
Norbury had their moments as well, Will Brooks had a volley saved by the keeper and a melee in the Great Moor area that was eventually hacked to safety.
Great Moor added a fifth in the last minute to wrap up the match and the league title but for the second time this season Norbury had saved their best for the best.
Congratulations to Great Moor A on their well deserved championship triumph but the two matches against them have probably been the highlight of a miserable season for Norbury seeing them score four times against such a miserly defence.
