| Normanby United U15's | 3 |
On a very windy day on Redcar sea front Normanby took a full squad to this game. Kicking with the wind in our favour it could have been very easy for Normanby to not play football and just try and shoot from anywhere but this didn,t happen and Normanby got the ball down and played football. Normanby on 25 minutes won a free kick 20 yards from goal Joshua Pursey as he doe's stepped up with conferdance to put the ball over the wall and into the top corner the keeper got his hand to it but the power in which joshua struck it left the keeper no chance. Normanby pressed and pressed and eventually got there just rewards when Tom Waldon took full advantage of a parry from the keeper 8 yards out to make it 2.0 at half time. With the style of football that Normanby played in the first half it suited kicking into the wind. Normanby battled hard through man of the match Ashley Towse and aaron bell dominating the play not giving Redcar anytime on the ball. The game was looking for a third goal which would surely see the game safe. On 65 minutes on came substitute Lewis Stares after some good link up play between Joe Armour,Ashley Towse, saw the ball drop to Lewis Stares 5 yards inside Redcar's half he struck it first time catching Redcar's keeper of his line putting the ball over him and into the back of the net to make it 3.0. After that Normanby had chance after chance with Eliott Ashenden,Joe Armour and Aaron Norman all going close a well deserved three points well done lads
