With just 3 weeks to go before the season started it looked like we weren't going to be able to field a side through lack of players - we were down to just 8 players.
However , Carl , Sam and Moz from Altofts turned up at training unexpectedly and following a couple of phone calls I also managed to persuade Reece , Mets and Jonny to join us from Kellingley and with Lumby agreeing to give it a go in goal we were up and running .
The lads were soon into their stride winning two friendlies before the start of the league programme and going on a run which saw us win 13 league games on the bounce only to falter in our very last game at home versus Kippax Athletic where we lost 5-2 , having beaten them away 7-0 !!
Nevertheless a fantastic season for everyone scoring over 100 goals in all games , losing in the league cup semi final to Goole Town 4-1 ( probably the best team we played all season ) and finishing the season off in style with a hard earned Presidents Cup win against North Gawber 4-2 .
