Northern United's second year, and first in the AAFA proved, in the end, to be successful.
Although only boasting a small squad, Nortner United were able to compete strongly in every game, and in a season that showed exactly what Northern United were capable off in parts, with some emphatic wins, it was a lack of consistancy throughout the season that ultimately led to finishishing 7th in the division.
However, promotion was still granted due to a team from the league above pulling out, and now the Handsomes must up their game in order to firmly cement themselves within Division 2, or better.
Player of the Season: Peter Ripley

Northern United's first season as a football club. The decision was made to join the Sunday Welfare league with many players already playing on Sundays. The season was very much up and down with some great runs of wins followed by losses. Things were looking good for a league title push but a nightmare April with injuries and holidays led to Northern fielding triaists in every game and losing most games in this month. A strong 5th position was achieved.
The Northern United committee decided to apply for the AAFA at the end of the season and play Saturday Amateur football.
Final League Place - 5th
