Martin Russell was asked to help a very young U11 side at AFC Wasps move from 7-A-side to 11-A-side. It took a few weeks of season 2003/2004 before a full 11 players were established. By the end of that season there was a healthy squad of players and during the summer of 2004 new players were added. These players, along with new coach John Pink, began to form a team that would eventually win the Harrow Youth League U14 Division 4 Title in season 2006/2007. In the summer of 2007 AFC Wasps were taken over by Hillingdon Saints FC and became Hillingdon Youth FC. The loss of 4 players at the start of the new season, at U15 age group, and the promotion by 2 Divisions saw the team struggle in accommodating new players and the tougher opposition. A second from bottom finish saw the team relegated to Division 3. By the end of season 2007/2008 the players were understandably disconcerted at the current club. News that the North Hayes Academicals adult side was finishing after 21 years led to Martin Russell, with the assistance of Julian Fox & Craig Kirby, offering to take the helm again. North Hayes Academicals would become a youth club and league entry in to the Hayes & District Minor League quickly followed. The team would be U16 and, on the first day back to training, 23 boys turned up. On the 5th July 2008 the first match as North Hayes Academicals Youth took place at Rosedale College against Mavericks FC and the team won 5-2. Another historic day in the life of a small community football club.
On 14th September 2008 the club appointed a new coach, Albert.
