Norton Dragons 6
Wells City 3

In their first game of 2010 Norton Dragons wanted to make a fresh start against Wells City and pick up their first points of the season after losing all 7 previous league games. It was Wells who got off to the best start though after some very sloppy defending from the dragons who allowed Wells to take a 1-0 lead which was quickly followed by a second goal. Dragons kept attacking creating a few chances but failing to put it past the outstanding Wells keeper on the day. Dragons conceded a free kick on the edge of the box and a great low finish into the corner of the goal led to Wells getting a third goal. There was some joy for the dragons right on half time with a well worked goal finished off by Ryan W. After trailing 3-1 at the half Norton decided to up their game and it showed from the off, as straight from kick off Luke C-E, Ryan W and Kieran H linked up well with great passing allowing Ryan W to get his second. Norton Dragons then leveled again with great work from the forwards. 3 more goals followed as the Dragons worked the ball around Wells and some tidy finishing put them 6-3 up. The dragons defense upped their game after a nervous first half by not conceding a goal. The dragons picked up their first 3 points of the season, credit goes to Taylor, Jamie, Sam, Tom, Owen, Harry, Matthew, Luke (mom, 1 goal), Christian, Jed, Kieran (1 goal), Ryan (4 goals) and Luke R.
