Comeback Kings!

Notts started the game with a few injury worries and got off the game to a nervy start. Metros seemed to be slow and second to every ball. Bridgefords dominance eventually told when a long lofted cross went wayward and found the top corner.

This didn't seem to wake up the metros who conceded again shortly afterwards when a free kick was swung in from the left to the back post, a towering header made it 2-0. Notts picked their game up a little towards the end of the first half but it was not enough.

A very direct team talk from Manager Shaun Buxton at half time turned things around. Notts came out after the break with much more fight and got stuck into Bridgeford who didn't seem up for the physical battle. A bustling run from Cooke saw him force the keeper into a fine save but JAKE followed up the shot with a clam finish into the bottom right corner. 2-1.

Metros were in control of the game now and the equaliser came from some good play down the right wing. WILL collected the ball on the edge of the area and drilled a low shot into the bottom left corner. 2-2.

The winner came when Peart hit the cross bar with a chipped free kick, TOM right in front of the sprawling keeper followed up the rebound of the bar with a cheeky header to make 3-2. Notts came under some pressure at the end but held out well with some strong defending and good saves from WAYNE, deputising for Kats who was injured in the second half.
