Going into the match, there was a distinct threat of the LOB-s dishing out a dose of revenge after our Dunn penalty win back in April. Additionally, this was match featuring the remaining unbeaten sides in the league. These fears were soon allayed early on, with the OC-s taking a two goal advantage early on. Cameron-s early cross from a free kick was well read by Mezza who stooped to head home. 1-0. Then Nash was brought down in the box after a mecurial Mezzetti, with Cameron stepping up to slot under Butch for 2-0. Possibly one of the best 45 minutes this OC-s have produced all season.
Half time.
Continued pressure in the second half meant that Lancing couldn-t get in their stride, providing little threat to Young-s goal. Griston and Beddows were rock solid in the middle, the former constantly pressurising every Lancing touch, the latter acting as a formidable shield to the backline. Nasher managed to put the match beyond doubt with three second half finishes, all coming from slick breaks down the right hand side.
A job well done.
5-0
