Lions 7-0 Wilmslow Town

The Lions were buoyed by the pre match 10-1 destruction of Ashton on Mersey F.C. by the Tigers, would we be able to emulate their feats?

Despite the poor weather. The Lions got off to a good start, as the front five of Luke, Jack, Adam W, Dan M and Jahmarly ran amok.

It could have been much worse for Town if not for the valiant efforts of the keeper, who played exceptionally well pulling off some great saves.

Jahmarly was having particular joy down our right side of attack, as he ripped into the Town defence.

At the end of the second half we found ourselves 7-0 up, with Jack scoring four, Luke scoring two and Adam W weighing in with one.

Credit due to Town as we expected an avalanche of goals in the second half, the Town players refused to give in, they dug in their heels and kept fighting.

The Lions made a series of substitutions, moving players to different positions, and the Town keeper continued to make some fantastic saves.

So the match ended 7-0, to the Lions with no further goals in the second half-one day this season we will put in a full 60 minute performance!

Well done, to the boys for also keeping our first clean sheet, of the season, long may it continue!
