Old Thorntonians II

With the help of ex-3rd Team Manager Nathan Gilligan, new 2nd Team Manager Andy Minshaw has brought together a new look 2nd XI for their assault on the new 08/09 season.

Minshaw & Gilligan will both look to put the disappointment of last season's Old 2nd XI behind them as they attempt to mastermind a title chasing first season in charge of the 2nd's.

The squad mainly consists of the old 3rd XI players who all feel they have what it takes to take on any team in South West 5. However, Gilligan's usual recruitment drive is in full swing so expect new faces right across the park.

And whilst this is Mishaw's debut season as Manager his drive and ambition surpass' even the most dedicated of players, and with the help of his assistant Gilligan, who himself brings with him a wealth of experience having successfully managed the 3rd XI for the past 3 years, this new 2nd XI can look forward to a very interesting season this year.
