'ENJOY YOUR FOOTBALL'
The essential message promoted to all young players who play for the Tigers.
Since it was established in 1994 the Tigers have grown to having in excess of 100 players, in an age range from 5 to 16.
Season 2012-2013 we have 10 junior teams.
Teams play in the Slough Soccer Combination, the Mini Soccer Friendly Scheme and the East Berks Youth League.
The Tigers positive attitude it takes towards its football in fair play has been rewarded on no less than 10 occasions by the league over the 12 years for individual team 'Sportmanship' trophies.
Parents who wish to help with the coaching have been encouraged to partake in the recognised F.A. coaching courses, including The Mangement and Treatment of Injuries, with the fees being paid by the club.
Subscriptions and Sponsorships have led to a healthy fund for the Tigers, which is always put back into providing new training equipment and to offer social functions for the children.
Individual teams have had playing sucess over the years.
Three players have had sucess over the years by being invited to train with the academies at Reading Football Club, Southampton Football Club and Queens Park Rangers.
One parent has also progressed on the coaching front to taking the full licence and is now a course tutor himself. He has also coached with Manchester United Soccer School, Bobby Charlton Soccer School, spent some time with Tottenham Hotspurs academy andnow has his own Soccer Coaching School based in Guernsey.
We have also developed strong links with Vastra Frolunda F.C. from Gothenburg, Sweden, a well established football club who we have visited and in turn they have come to Old Windsor to play one of our teams.
With its affiliation to Old Windsor Football Club who have been established since 1898, the youth football in the local community grows from strength to strength. Both have recently gained the FA Charter Standard award.
