New Season

PWFC were formed following a few years in the Christian League as Newstart FC. The lack of games and a struggle to get a full 11 out on a Saturday morning prompted a huge overhaul in the club set up and PWFC was born. Successful application was made to the BFA Hayward League and in Season 05-06 the club was in Division 6. An extremely successful first season was capped with the club finishing second and securing promotion to Division 5. The club won every game away from home and only a couple a defeats at home stopped them winning he league title. Division 5 now becons and the hope of further promotions and victories. We are now playing in Div 3 and have had a much success over the years with players and the club. As we go into what may be our final season (many players retiring after season 10-11 and committee members standing down) so it would be nice to end on a high note!
The season 2010-11 has started brilliantly as we have won 9 of our first 10 games and are still in 2 Cups. May this continue as we try and secure the Div 3 title (early days I know). Some superb new players signed have been a real revelation ot us this season and we are playing our best football ever!
