In 1987 Mike Barlow and a few friends started a junior football team and called them barton rangers.Back then junior football was in its infancy and the only league available was the hyde league.This was only played in for one season as they then moved over to the salford junior league during the next 4 yrs the club grew and soon had teams playing at 11 - 15. In 1993 the club boosted teams at every age group in the old salford league and it was decided that a merger with PARKWYDDN FC seniors was a forward step .This was to help relocate lads to old for junior football and give them a chance to play for the seniors.Parkwyddn jfc has become one of the better know clubs in the area since this merger.And in 2001 our profile was raised even higher when Mr Chris payne introduced the start of our annual football tournament.In 2003 all mini soccer teams joined the new city of salford league but our eleven aside teams play there football in the timperley and district leagues. As a club success has been rewarded by the addition of stars to the club badge .This however only denotes leagues champions at 11 aside not mini soccer or the winning of league cups or supplementry cups.We as a club see mini soccer as a way to develop players winning trophies is nice but so not to pile on pressure we only use 11 aside to add stars to club badge.At present we have one gold star = to 5 titles and 2 white being single titles lets hope we can make it 2 gold in our 21 st season as a junior football club.PARKWYDDN JFC finally gained the FA CHARTER STANDARD AWARD on june 24th 2010
