A splendid game in the May sunshine ended in a narrow win for the former players.
Jorge put the current side ahead from the penalty spot, before Jelly gifted the guests an equaliser, ignoring his keeper-s call and slicing Marko Sudar-s cross into his own net.
Both sides played open football, with Ryan pulling the strings for the present team and Jon Taylor the busier of the keepers. Jorge missed a great chance and Ben Willison got back to make a brilliant goalline clearance just before half time.

H-t 1-1

The presents had more of the ball in the second half, but didn-t make the most of their possession and it was the past that took the lead, Ben Willison striking the ball into the far corner following an indirect free kick.
Jon Taylor made a fantastic save to push Risky-s ferocious drive over the bar and Zach blazed over from 5 yards after Ryans brilliant run set him up with an easy chance. Nya was put clean through twice, but couldn-t take advantage.
At the other end Mo went full length to push an effort round the post, Dan got in a vital block and Jamie Longmate went close with a near post effort.
Past extended their lead 10 minutes from time through Joe Weston, before Jorge scored his second to pull one back for present.

By the end all 27 players were on the pitch. Maybe if we had played 14 men a bit more often, we would have won a few more games over the last 6 years!.
